Needs an update

Overall a good app, however, as previous reviews have pointed out a content update is overdue. The general format is easy to use and has some nice features including testing only missed questions from previous quizzes. The rationales for many of the questions are of no help as they simply restate the answer as the rationale. If the author would enhance the rationales and update the question pool, the app would be much better.

Great App!!!!

I havent taken my boards yet but I feel that this app has been great helping me review. After studying each section, I use the practice test to identify my weaknesses.

Great & Useful

I used this app and went to a live review course and passed the AANP - FNP exam w/a solid middle range standardized score after 7-10 days of studying. Bummer part is that there is no live sync between devices when doing practice tests.

Not really that user friendly

Although I like the content (so far one question Ive encountered out of 100 is based on out of date information: HTN guidelines) the app is slow to load my selection of questions and can freeze up which then makes it even slower. Furthermore, it is difficult to select the number of questions I want, as it uses a slide bar and when my finger stops on the slide bar, it severely overestimates or underestimates my desired quantity. I downloaded this because it was from a known and respected publishing company but the apps designers have made an app that doesnt deserve the same esteem. I look forward to an update with bug fixes for the price I paid.

Good App

Pleased with the app so far, but I do not understand why it does not contain pediatric and geriatric specific categories. This would seem logical for the NP specialty area concerned with the care of patients over the lifespan.

Handy review app

Handy little app to quiz myself on the go. I have another eight months before boards, so this is a nice review option when I have a few minutes.

Great App

Ive been waiting for Leik to produce an App

Just What I Need

This app is very convenient because it allows you to study from any location.

Awesome!

This is what I call convenience!!

Easy To Use

I own the book and app. The app is more convenient providing the option to work on questions according to topics unlike those in the book. Pros question are arranged/broken down into systems. Con I am unable to review past test/quizzes, only scores. Great value!!!

Convenient with few inaccuracies

Very easy to use, but with limited questions and some that are poorly written or incorrect.

Fnp apps

I bought this app to help me study. Im glad I did I dont have to carry around the book to study I can answer test question on my phone or iPad. Is would recommend this to everyone.

FNP

Its very nice to have questions and rationales anywhere I go. I was looking for flashcards to study for the AANP exam but this is better. Downfalls are that it can be a little bit tricky to navigate in the beginning, and if you leave the app open but dormant, it exits you from the quiz you were on. Not big deals, though. Author is reputable.

Ok

Easy to navigate. Some info is out of date already. For example, still references JNC 7 guidelines.

Great

This app is wonderful , her review book is great ... I love having the questions at hand to go where ever I go. It would be nice to save the quiz if unable to complete in one setting. Passed certification exam on first attempt. App was a big help

Fnp review

Has old JNC 7 guidelines. Pretty nice to have an app on my phone to study when I have a few minutes.

Needs some work

For what it cost, I expected to at least have up to date information. JNC 7 has been out dated for well over a year now. There were plenty of duplicate questions, and several questions that had incorrect answers, even according to the given rationale. Some of the rationale provided raised more questions than clearing them. But it was handy to be able to practice answering questions on the go with my phone, and there was content included here that was not covered in other popular review courses.

Overall, a good app

I just took my AANP boards yesterday and passed! I used this app because of the convenience and the author is reputable. Although a few mistakes within and the app and still using JNC 7 guidelines, the app was very useful. I had about 10-15 questions which were very similar to the questions on the app, almost word for word, on my boards. Overall, I would recommend this app as a supplement to your study materials.

Nice having it at my fingertips

I agree with other comments that it is annoying that there are still JNC 7 questions. I have to look up the JNC 8 to make sure I still know it. But its nice having questions at my fingertips. I am still a student but have heard great reviews in Leik helping people pass which is why I bought this app.

Unstable app

I was nearly finished with the 617 question exam that took several hours and this app crashed, erasing my progress. This app does not allow review of each question as you go. Will be petitioning for a refund.
